This piece is not a toy and was designed and manufactured as a historically accurate display piece based on illustrations and archaeological finds from the Roman Empire. Using this flagrum would be extremely dangerous and could cause serious injuries. Furthermore, no guarantee can be given that the flagrum is sufficiently stable for real-life use. For these reasons, it cannot and must not be used as a BDSM toy or as a weapon!
Roman flagrum. Designed after an ancient model, it could have been made by a Roman craftsman. Visibly, only materials that were available 2,000 years ago were used.
3 strands of solid 5mm natural leather in vintage brown, approx. 76cm/30", of which approx. 20cm/8" handle made of individually dyed bamboo wood, finished with the finest lacquer and with a patinated bronze finish, set with solid bronze beads and hand-crafted sharp-edged bone segments.
